Mission Database

  This mission recreates the dramatic rescue of the great Mon Calamari leader Admiral Ackbar.  Enslaved by the Empire, he was made a servant to Moff Tarkin.  Recognition of his intelligence won him a staff position from which he was to learn about the enemy first-hand, becoming an expert on Imperial defenses and strategy.  He was freed during an interception of Shuttles in which the capture of Tarkin was attempted.

  Y-wings, with X-wings as escorts, were deployed to disable Tarkin's Shuttle.  Commandos aboard the Rebel Shuttle Hasti would then hyper into the area and carry out the mission.
  As it turned out, Tarkin narrowly escaped before the arrival of the Rebel assault.  However, the Alliance was able to capture the officers' shuttle with Ackbar on board.  His rescue was a boon the Alliance will long be grateful for!

  As the Y-wing pilot your mission is to identify and disable the officers' Shuttle.  Once the Rebel Shuttle Hasti arrives, protect it from Imperial interference until the Commandos have completed their mission, then hyper home.
  To identify the proper Shuttle you will have to bring your Y-wing to within 0.02 kilometers of the target to determine its contents, so be careful and avoid collisions!
